- Family Discounts - Families will receive a $5 discount when more than one child is enrolled.

- Class Withdrawal Policy - Should you decide for any reason to withdraw from all studio classes, an official withdraw form must be submitted to Ms. Jordan's School of Dance staff. Verbal withdrawal with an instructor is not sufficient. Tuition fees will compound should there be failure to withdraw properly. STUDIO POLICIES
Dress Code
SHOES
- ACRO/MODERN: Bare feet
- BALLET/PRE-POINTE: Girls wear pink ballet shoes (pink satin house slippers are not acceptable), and boys wear black ballet shoes.
- POINTE: Pointe class is taken in properly fitted pointe shoes, fitted by a professional at a dance apparel store.
- JAZZ/HIP-HOP/JAZZ POP: Tan jazz shoes are appropriate. Dancers may wear black jazz shoes to class until they require a new pair. We recommend the leather slip-on jazz shoe with no laces.
- TAP: Tan tap shoes are appropriate. Please have elastic in place of ribbons, so dancers and teachers spend less time tying shoes.
Every dancer will need tan shoes for our Recital. Tan Tap and Tan Jazz shoes are to be worn for the appropriate classes.

- Ballet skirt or black booty shorts may also be worn over leotard and tights.
- Boys wear white t-shirts, socks and ballet shoes with black exercise bottoms.

Class Observations and Lobby Area
PARENTS/GUARDIANS ARE NOT TO SIT IN AREAS WHERE IT BECOMES A DISTRACTION TO YOUR CHILD. THIS CREATES DISTRATION FOR THE TEACHER, AND OTHER STUDENTS. We ask those waiting for dancers, to sit in the waiting area in respect of the learning experience and environment. Ms. Jordan’s School of Dance and its employees are not responsible for the behavior of others in the waiting area. Because our dance space is limited, it is of primary importance that class visitations and interruptions are restricted. If you wish to speak privately with the teacher, please schedule an appointment before or after classes, due to the fact that all classes need to begin on time. Please be respectful to those around you while waiting. Parents are encouraged to keep all children not attending class out of dance class area.

Arrival & Departure
Please be on time to pick up your dance student. We are unable to provide supervision to children who are picked up late. For the safety of all dance students; dancers will not be allowed to wait outside of dance building for parent/guardian. Each dancer must remain in building until parent/guardian arrives to pick her/him up from inside the building. We cannot take responsibility for a child once he/she leaves class during their regular class day. For safety reasons, please inform the teacher if someone other than regular guardian will be picking up your dancer.

Incement Weather
We will be following the Sallisaw Public School and Poteau Public School schedules for inclement weather. In bad weather conditions please use your best judgment as to whether or not you are able to attend class. If Sallisaw Public Schools (Sallisaw Dance Class) or Poteau Public Schools (Poteau Dance Class) are closed, then you can expect that we will also be closed. We will do our best to post closings on Channel 5 KFSM and our Facebook page. There will be no refunds for classes missed due to inclement weather.

Teacher Information
There are times when our teaching staff must be out of town or have a conflict; therefore you will have a substitute teacher. When a substitute is not available, classes will be canceled and a make-up class will be added to the dance calendar. A note will be posted on the door if a last minute emergency arises where we are forced to cancel and an update made to the Facebook page.

Dancer Conduct
- Students are encouraged to practice proper behavior in dance class.
- Classes start on time; so punctuality is essential. It is understood that on rare occasions a student must necessarily be late to ballet class. If a student arrives early, please be considerate of the current classes in session.
- No gum/candy or cell phones are allowed in class.
- Teachers reserve the rights to have a student sit out of class or observe, if behavioral problems arise.
- Students are encouraged to observe the class quietly or stay home if sickness occurs.
- Attendance to class is very important due to the fact that we build on our learned skills each week.
Studio Regulations
Please watch our Studio bulletin board and Facebook page for updates and information.
